As many as 291 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/- A number of 2,533 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 291 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import ones. As many as 159,804 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 15 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –4, medical assistants –10 and auxiliary staff -1.

As many as 2,415 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 246 are in extremely serious condition (42 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,360 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 16,161 are under supervision at home.

Another 528 people have been treated. As many as 150,090 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 4 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,438 people have died of coronavirus in all.
