Winter conditions in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/- Currently, road traffic on all national public roads is under winter conditions, the State Road Administration (ASD) has reported.
In the last 24 hours, with the issuance until today by the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) of the Yellow Code of difficult weather conditions, patrol and anti-skid works were carried out on all national public roads, and snow removal works were carried out in the northern and central areas.
"Roads company used 186 special machines and trained 316 road workers in the technological process ", ASD said.
Road administrators continuously monitor all dangerous road sections so that any traffic difficulties can be solved operatively. The patrol, snow removal and anti-skid works continue.
The State Road Administration warns drivers to comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations on the endowment of cars and driving in winter. Road users can request the intervention of road workers in case of blockage on national routes to the active numbers non-stop: 22-55-30; 74-89-61; 060 477 117.
The Yellow Code of complicated weather conditions, announced yesterday by SHS, remains in force today. There will be snow and sleet with rain, icy roads. In the next 24 hours, up to +5 degrees during the day, and up to -6 degrees at night is expected in the country.
