Capital's administration requires more attention from hospital managers in Chisinau

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/- After the fire at Matei Balș Hospital in Bucharest, the Chisinau city hall requests from the managers of the health institutions in the capital increased attention and the daily control of the electrical networks.
Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban sent his condolences to the relatives of the patients who died last week in the fire that took place at the Matei Balș Hospital in Bucharest. The mayor said that in December 2020 he signed a provision asking municipal hospital managers to verify the validity of firefighting measures and to remedy any irregularities that could cause fires. Ceban demanded increased attention from the leaders of the municipal health institutions and requested, as a personal responsibility, to order the daily control of the electricity networks.
On 29 January at the Matei Balş Hospital in Bucharest, a large fire broke out in a ward where COVID-19 patients were hospitalized. Four wards burned, four patients died and three others died from burns. Another hundred sick people were evacuated to other medical institutions in Bucharest.
