Moldovan writer would have turned 90 today

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/- Writer, journalist and translator Ala Cupcea, honored worker of culture, wife of departed actor and director Valeriu Cupcea, People's Artist would have turned 90 today.
In 1959 -1986 she carried out a fruitful journalistic activity at the Moldovan Radio. She first worked as an editor, and since 1966 - as head of the Literary-Dramatic Shows Section.
She has translated radio plays, plays, short stories by Lev Tolstoy, Constantin G. Paustovski, Leonid N. Andreev, Mark Twain, Anton P. Chekhov.
Cupcea passed away on February 6, 1989, in Chisinau, only three weeks after her husband's death.
