Parliamentary delegation attends plenary session of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanii participates in the 52nd plenary session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States held on 15-16 April in St. Petersburg, Russia, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The speaker will attend the meeting of the CIS AIP Council, will deliver a speech at the opening of the plenary session of the Interparliamentary Assembly and will have a lot of bilateral meetings. The Moldovan delegation will exchange views and experience on current issues and mutual interest with colleagues from other parliaments.
At the same time, the delegation members will participate in the opening ceremony of the parliamentary conference: Global challenges and threats in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic: terrorism and violent extremism, organized during the 52nd plenary session of the CIS AIP.
The delegation includes deputy head of the foreign policy and European integration commission, member of the national delegation to CIS AIP Bogdat Țîrdea and Parliament Secretary General Adrian Albu.
The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly was set up on 27 March 1992 and includes the parliaments of 10 CIS member countries, such as Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. The organization is headquartered in St. Petersburg, Russia.
