Moldovan citizens residing abroad may pre-register for 11 July elections

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission has reminded citizens with the right to vote, who are abroad or residing in the localities on the left bank of the Dniester and intend to vote in snap parliamentary elections on 11 July 2021 that they can register in advance.
According to the central election administration, registrations made for previous national elections remain valid, unless voters intend to vote in another locality outside the country where polling stations will be opened. In these situations, voters can make changes to the data presented above.
The electoral authority specified that pre-registration is one of the important criteria underlying the CEC decision on opening polling stations abroad, but also on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, for citizens with the right to vote in the localities on the left bank of the Dniester, Bender and some localities of Causeni district. The procedure ends 45 days before the election date.
Voters are invited to fill in the online registration form, under the heading "Pre-registration" on the page www.alegator.md and to follow the instructions on filling in the online form.
