About 14,000 citizens called ambulance last week

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/- On 10-16 May, 14,043 requests for emergency medical assistance were registered at the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance.

According to the Center, the most common requests were cardiovascular emergencies - 3,088 people, including 48 patients with acute coronary syndrome, followed by neurological emergencies - 2,078, including 220 patients who suffered a stroke.

During this period, the number of calls due to respiratory emergencies decreased to 1,930 requests.

Due to the traumatic emergencies, 1,349 calls were received, including for 73 people who needed medical assistance as a result of road accidents on the country's routes.
