Nine schools in southern Moldova to be provided with digital laboratories

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/- Nine schools in the south of the country will be equipped with learning and teaching spaces, specially designed, provided with modern digital equipment, to study the professions of the future. The institutions were selected under the Digital Laboratories initiative.

Schools in the southern region of the country were selected after submitting their files within the initiative organized by the project Tekwill in every school, developed with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, under the auspices of EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul and with the financial support of external development partners - US Agency for International Development (USAID), Sweden and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Moldova.

The project aims at supporting interactive and qualitative study of information technologies from school. The spaces will be differentiated from the usual classrooms by arranging the furniture, the technologies used and the way of working in groups, but also the individual work. The modern laboratories that will be created will offer more opportunities and possibilities for the study and teaching process to be carried out as interactively as possible, and for students to benefit from modern techniques to develop their skills, creativity and competencies ", said Tatiana Alexeev, project manager.

In total, 234 educational institutions in the country that are part of the Tekwill in every school program had the opportunity to enroll in the Digital Laboratories initiative.
