As many as 121 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,631 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 121 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 254, 075 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one out of all cases is medical employee: 1 auxiliary staff employee.

As many as 1,049 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 134 are in extremely serious condition (25 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,249 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,320 are under supervision at home.

Another 232 people have been treated. As many as 245,263 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another nine deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,043 people have died of coronavirus in all.
