Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) will establish, at another meeting, the final spending sheet for the snap parliamentary elections due on 11 July.
The CEC members excluded, with six votes for, a point on the establishment of the spending sheet of the 11 July parliamentary elections from the agenda of the today’s meeting. The proposal came, after the Commission’s head, Dorin Cimil, had said that he received a letter from the acting prime minister, which shows that the allocation of 70 million lei from the reserve fund was decided for the polls’ organization. According to the letter, the cabinet will provide the additional needed amount of financial means following 20 June, ‘’after the exhaustive establishment of all costs which could not be fully estimated at the stage of planning.’’
The CEC secretary, Maxim Lebedinschi, suggested that the discussions on the spending sheet are postponed. ‘’I deem it as opportune for us to come up with the decision, after we have the final, real and effective calculations, which are to be borne,’’ Lebedinschi said.
In late last April, the Central Electoral Commission approved the spending sheet for the organization and holding of the 11 July elections at 125 million lei.
