Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - The State Administration of Roads (ASD), National Inspectorate of Public Security (INSP) of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) and the mobile teams of the Customs Service have verified the observance of the payment of the road tax by drivers who own vehicles registered abroad, as well as the correctness of its buying.
The INSP employees, as inspector, today compiled five official reports and imposed fines worth up to 4,500 lei to the drivers who had not paid the road tax.
„Since early 2021, the owners of vehicles and attached trailers, registered abroad, purchased about 151,000 road taxes worth over 34 million lei. The goal of the joint actions carried out is to efficiently detect and document transport means, for which the road tax was not paid, and identify the drivers who infringed the provisions of the road traffic regulation,’’ ASD said.
