Moldova, Romania sign agreement on construction of aqueducts

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova and Romania today signed an inter-governmental agreement on the regulation of the construction of aqueducts.
Romania’s Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita signed the agreement on behalf of the Bucharest government and the state secretary at the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry, Ghenadie Iurco, signed the document on behalf of the Moldovan government.
The agreement provides the legal framework necessary for a company from Romania to build aqueducts with under crossing the Prut river for the supply with drinking water from the Romanian Iasi county in the districts of Nisporeni, Ungheni, Glodeni and Falesti of Moldova, between the settlements: Macaresti (Romania) – Macaresti (Moldova), Sculeni (Romania) – Sculeni (Moldova), Ungheni (Romania) – Ungheni (Moldova) and in the sector of the Tabara settlement (Romania).
