Chisinau kindergartens to have unique food menu

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/- Yesterday, the Education, Youth and Sports Department of Chisinau city hall held public discussions on approving unique food menu for children from early education institutions with extended activity.

Members of a working group set up a new concept on implementation of the unique food menu. The group included kindergarten directors, nurses, representatives of DETS in the sectors, responsible for monitoring children's nutrition, nutritionists, technologists.

When setting up the unique menu, the specialists took into account the following factors: quality of food, amount of calories that a child receives daily, food diversity, promoting healthy eating.

Free food for children of pre-school, primary and secondary education institutions in Chisinau is organized in 167 early education institutions and 128 pre-school education institutions.

Previously, kindergartens in each sector of the capital had different menus.
