Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/- The government decision on allocation of 2.2 million lei from the government's emergency funds for families of medical staff who died in the fight against the SARS-Cov-2 virus was published in today's Official Journal.

Under the decision, 22 families will benefit from one-off allowances amounting to one hundred thousand lei.

According to the document, the financial aid will be granted to the relatives of the medical staff whose death occurred after 17 March 2020, due to the complications of COVID-19. Money support is exempt from income tax and payment of compulsory social security contributions.

The control over the execution of this decision will be responsibility of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, and the decision entered into force today, once published in the Official Journal.
