As many as 100,620 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine brought to Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/ - Another 50,310 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine were distributed to Moldova today. The vaccine was provided free of charge through the COVAX platform – a partnership between the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), the Vaccine Alliance (GAVI), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 100,620 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine are deposited at the National Public Health Agency (ANSP) and are to be distributed to the vaccination centres on the days to come.
To be vaccinated, citizens are urged to appeal to family physician or register on the platform www.vaccinare.gov.md.
Official statistics shows that 275,627 people have been immunized in Moldova.
