As many as 120 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,005 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 120 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 254, 499 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), three out of all cases recorded are among medical employees: physicians – 2, medical assistants – 1.

As many as 761 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 102 are in extremely serious condition (19 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,208 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,339 are under supervision at home.

Another 277 people have been treated. As many as 246,080 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another six deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,067 people have died of coronavirus in all.
