As many as 75 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,964 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 75 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 254,676 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one out of all cases registered is a medical employee: 1 auxiliary staff member.

As many as 732 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 109 are in extremely serious condition (16 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,170 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,192 are under supervision at home.

Another 238 people have been treated. As many as 246,570 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another three deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,075 people have died of coronavirus in all.
