As many as 41 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/- A number of 2,644 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 41 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 255,186 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one out of all cases of infection registered is among medical employees (1 auxiliary staff employee).

As many as 507 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 79 are in extremely serious condition (11 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,065 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,233 are under supervision at home.

Another 63 people have been treated. As many as 247,507 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another three deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,107 people have died of coronavirus in all.
