Voters have 10 days available to register at new place of residence in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) informs that voters have ten days at their disposal to submit applications on the declaring of the place of residence.
Thus, to be able to vote at another polling station than according to the domicile or valid residence, the voter will submit a declaration to the local public administration authority from the settlement where he/she wants to vote.
The concerned procedure allows the voter to be registered in the basic electoral list of the polling station according to the new place of residence declared and to be able to exercise his/her right to vote at the concerned polling station.
When submitting the declaration, the voter will present the original identity card for confirmation. The declarations submitted for the previous ballots are no longer valid.
In the context, CEC reminds that the deadline for submitting declarations is 10 June inclusively.
