Anniversary exhibition by Moldovan painter inaugurated in Czech Republic

Chisinau, 12 June /MOLDPRES/ - Fine artist Teodor Buzu has recently exhibited his works in the Tabor town from the Czech Republic.
The exhibition titled, ”Doteky Času - Atingerile Timpului - Touch of the Time” is staged concomitantly in two galleries (Galeria u Radnice – painting and graphic, Galeria Ambit – Painting on silk and porcelain) in the Czech town of Tabor. The painter’s jubilee album was launched on this occasion.
The event took place under the patronage of Moldova’s Embassy in the Czech Republic. In his greeting speech, Ambassador Alexandru Codreanu evoked the traditional friendship relations between Moldova and the Czech Republic. The Embassy’s patronage for this exhibition is meant to back the Moldovan-Czech mutual knowledge in the culture sector, to promote the artistic performance of a recognized Master for the public fond of art from the Czech Republic, as well as from Moldova.
At the same time, the ambassador read a congratulatory message on behalf of the head of the Moldovan Fine Artists’ Union (UAP), Dumitru Bolboceanu, and handed the painter the UAP Mihail Grecu medal, as a token of recognition of the fine artist’s works’ incontestable value.
Teodor Buzu was born in the Drasliceni village, central Criuleni district, on 3 May 1960. In 1970-1977, he studied at the Igor Vieru Fine Arts Lyceums and in 1980-1085 – at the Academy of Design and Arts from Kharkiv, Ukraine. In Kharkiv, he met his future wife, Dagmar and settled in her Motherland, the Czech Republic, Tabor town. Teodor Buzu is member of the International Union of Professional Fine Artists, Association of Fine Artists from South Bohemia, Czech Republic, of the Group, Die Neuen Milben, Austria, the Union of Fine Artists from Prague and the one from Chisinau. Buzu makes easel paintings, graphic design, monumental art, graphic, illustration.
Teodor Buzu is Knight of Romania’s National Order of Merit, in rank of Commander (2003). He is laureate of more international awards. Thus, Buzu got the prize Artistic Excellence in Dubai, prize of the United international exhibition in Slovenia, the prize I for graphic presentation Design&technology from Nagano, Japan, the prize of the International Contest of Fine Arts from Passau, Germany, etc. He participated in 100 collective exhibitions and had 87 personal exhibitions.
The exhibition will be opened till 22 July.
