Moldovan National Army's KFOR-15 contingent starts work in Kosovo

Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ - The servicemen of the 15th contingent of the National Army, recently detached to the KFOR peacekeeping operation, today took over the duties of the Moldovan peacekeepers, who ended their mandate in Kosovo.
The event of transfer of authority took place on the area of the multinational base Camp Vilaggio Italia in the Pech settlement, in the presence of the Regional Command-West.
At the event, the commander of KFOR-14, lieutenant colonel Anton Anghelcev delivered the flag and the office duties to lieutenant colonel Victor Goja, who is to hold this position in the next six months.
The KFOR-15 contingent of the National Army is made up of 41 military, who will carry out operations of guard and defence of objects of strategic importance, missions of ensuring the security of the base Camp Vilaggio Italia, Decane Monastery, as well as of engineering research and detecting explosives in the responsibility area.
