Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 29 July evening had a discussion with the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva. ‘’We discussed the need to immediately remove all obstacles which led to the blocking of a new programme of IMF for Moldova,’’ President Maia Sandu said, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state noted that Kristalina Georgieva had assured the leadership of the Fund’s willingness to further cooperate with Moldova. ‘’In this respect, Georgieva informed that, till late next August, the country might get a special financing worth 236 million dollars, after the disbursement is approved by the IMF Board of Governors,’’ Maia Sandu added.
