As many as 991 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 7,363 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 991 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 14 out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 296,672 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry, 10 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (5 physicians, 3 medical assistants and 2 - auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,897 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 162 are in extremely serious condition and 13 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,645 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,662 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,169 people have been treated. As many as 280,291 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, the ministry informs about the registration of another 26 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,829 people have died of coronavirus in all.
