Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu sent a message on World Mental Health Day, which was marked yesterday. The head of state urges us to take care of our bodies and minds, the presidential press service has reported.
"This day alerts us to an increasingly common problem of our times and tells us, at the same time, that it is important to ask for help, if we face it. Mental health conditions are as serious as heart or stomach problems. It can happen to anyone, at any age, and the hard times we are going through, also marked by the pandemic, have sharpened our fears for us and for our loved ones ", Maia Sandu said.
The head of state urges us to talk to each other, and if we notice that a close person is going through hard times, let's get involved. "Let's ask her how she feels, how we can help her and refer her to a specialist. We have 40 Community Mental Health Centers in districts and cities across the country - knock on their door if you feel emotionally overwhelmed. Strong societies go through periods of crisis only together, only if people are united and in solidarity ", Maia Sandu's message reads.
