Moldova counts on EU's firm, long-lasting commitment of cooperation with associated states

Chisinau, 6 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with Deputy Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Katarina Mathernova, the presidential press service has reported.
The discussions regarded Moldova’s bilateral agenda with EU, including in the process of preparing the Eastern Partnership Summit, due this month. The head of state said the Moldovan authorities were resolute to observe all commitments assumed in the dialogue with EU, which would allow Moldova benefit from a new macro-financial assistance programme. At the same time, President Maia Sandu stressed that Moldova counted on a firm and long-lasting commitment of cooperation of EU in the relation with the associated states, in priority sectors, such as justice, energy, transport, digital transition and green economy.
In the context, the head of state thanked the European Commission for the support provided to the country’s transformation agenda, as well as for the backing and assistance in the management of the energy crisis in Moldova.
