Number of people insured individually increased, CNAM says

Chisinau, January 12 / MOLDPRES /- Over 6,000 people paid compulsory health insurance in the first ten days of this year, up by about 600 compared to the same period last year.

According to the CNAM data, the volume of financial means accumulated between January 1-10, 2022 in the funds of the compulsory medical assistance from the payment of the fixed amount premium is over 11 million lei, approximately one million over the amount registered in the same time interval from 2021 .

More than half of the total number of payers received discounts of 50 percent of the premium amount. These are the founders of individual enterprises, patent holders, lessees, lessors, other persons who are not employed or insured by the Government, foreign citizens with the right of temporary residence in the Republic of Moldova.

In the conditions of the pandemic, there is also a sharp increase in the number of people who choose to pay for health insurance through the Government Electronic Payments Service MPay. The number of people who paid the insurance premium through MPay exceeded 4,500 people, more than 1,500 more than in the same period last year.

CNAM reminds that in the first three months of the year, the persons obliged to insure themselves individually pay the compulsory health insurance premium with discounts of 50%, 60% and 75% of its value.
