As many as 2,681 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 13,548 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 2,681 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Forty five out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 393,423 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 178 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (42 physicians, 82 medical assistants, 54 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 1,345 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 90 are in extremely serious condition and three patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 6,932 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 12,770 are under supervision at home.

Another 529 people have been treated. As many as 367,728 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 10 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,462 people have died of coronavirus in all.
