Moldovan head of state conveys congratulatory message to Border Police employees

Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today conveyed a message to all those who work at the Border Police of Moldova. The head of state said that this structure was important both for the state and for the society and congratulated them on the 30th  anniversary of the institution’s foundation.

„Your effort means peace and safety for the citizens and a good image of our country. You are the ones who meet at the border the guests who come to visit Moldova, as well as the Moldovans who return home,’’ President Maia Sandu said in her message. ’’The fact how we are regarded in the world depends on your professionalism, goodwill and correctness. Just as it happened in last spring, when you worked day and night, with empathy and self-denial, to respond to the tragedy of refugees from Ukraine. And in this way, you contributed to our joint effort of solidarity for the neighbor country,’’ the head of state stressed.      

She thanked the Border Police employees for the professionalism and abnegation proved during these 30 years and their families for the fact that they back them in this difficult job. ‘’I wish you good health and much strength, so that you serve Moldova with devotion and dignity in continuation,’’ reads the message by President Maia Sandu.
