Moldovan cabinet approves regulation on programme of investments in production of film, other audiovisual works

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the regulation on the proogramme of investments in the field of production of film and audiovisual works. The draft is to be implemented by the National Cinematography Centre, subordinated to the Culture Ministry, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The document regulates the way, conditions and procedure of submitting files by beneficiaries, as well as the evaluation, validation or rejection of the files submitted. The normative act also shows the procedure of providing financing, the conditions of use of the budgetary allocations and their reporting for the carrying out of productions of film and other audiovisual works on the territory of Moldova. The programme’s goal is to develop the cinematographic and audiovisual industry, as well as to attract foreign and local investments in this sector.
Budgetary allocations worth two million lei from the Culture Ministry’s budget for 2022 are envisaged for the implementation of the investments programme.
