New Ambassador of Romania to Moldova presents copies of accreditation letters at Foreign Affairs Ministry's headquarters

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today discussed with Ambassador Agree of Romania to Moldova Cristian Leon Turcanu, on the occasion of the handing over of the copies of the accreditation letters, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
At the meeting, the two officials referred to the special relation with Romania, based on the community of language, history and culture, as well as the strategic partnership for European integration. In the context, Minister Nicu Popescu expressed thanks to the Romanian side for the firm support provided to Moldova to get the status of country candidate for accession to the European Union.
„We spoke about the hosting by Romania, on 15 July, of the second Donor Conference Support Platform for Moldova, an initiative of France, Germany and Romania, the first edition of which was held in Berlin in last April. In the context of the regional situation, I noted the need to strengthen the resilience, energy security and the infrastructure projects,’’ the Moldovan official stressed.
Deputy PM Nicu Popescu wished the ambassador agree success in his highly responsible work, assuring him of the every support of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
