Procedure of issuance of environmental authorization for irrigation to be simplified in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - The procedure of issuance of the environmental authorization for irrigation will be simplified, under a draft law adopted by the parliament in the final reading today.

According to the document, the amendments will allow simplifying the procedure of issuance of the environmental authorization for the special use of water for irrigation. Thus, the term of considering the application on the issuance of the environmental authorization is shortened from 30 to 20 days.

At the same time, in the area of service of a functional centralized irrigation system, the environmental authorization for the special use of water will be issued to the associations of users of water for irrigation and the Technological Stations for Irrigation, which manage the irrigation infrastructure.

Another provision of the draft regards the regulation of the procedure of ceding the environmental authorization for irrigation. If there are more assignees in the area of an irrigation system, the registration of the ceding of the environmental authorization will be made for each assignee separately.

Also, the amendments will allow placing basins for collection of precipitation water on farmlands.
