Moldova's Customs Service collects over 738.7 million lei last week

Chisinau, 4 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service (SV) collected over 738.7 million lei (36.9 million euros) on the period 27 June - 3 July 2022, which is by 18.4 per cent more against the budgetary task set for this time interval.
According to SV, private people introduced goods, the value of which in customs exceeded over 15 million lei, which accounts for 2 per cent of the overall sum collected. The money collected from tax payers are transferred directly to the state budget and redistributed for salaries, developing infrastructure, social projects, etc.
Also, in the last week, decision-makers processed 11,405 customs declarations and the flow of transport means stood at about 75,000 crossings.
As for combating frauds, on this period, decision-makers found out 68 infringements of the customs legislation and fines worth over 227,000 lei were imposed. On the period 01-30 June this year, customs employees ascertained 409 infringements of the customs legislation and imposed fines amounting to more than 1,4 million lei.
Since early 2022, the Customs Service has collected 15.7 billion lei to the state budget, up by 24.3 per cent against the collections recorded on the same period of the 2021 year.
