Bridge from Moldovan capital to undergo capital repair

Chisinau, 4 July /MOLDPRES/ - The bridge on the Mihai Viteazul Street from Chisinau will be capitally repaired, after the winners of the tender, due to carry out the renovation works, have been established. The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, today made statements to this effect at an operative meeting of the municipal services.
According to Ceban, following the organization of four tenders on the capital repair of the bridge on the Mihai Viteazul Street, within which no economic agent participated, after the fifth tender, the winner represent a consortium made up of: Granbutservice company of Ukraine, the Vulcanesti branch, Genesis and Electrica Company.
„The contract signed is worth 108 million lei (5.4 million euros). The works will start in 25 days and meanwhile, the economic agent is to make all preparations on site. The engineering and traction networks are planned to be removed and then the works ate the superstructure elements will start,’’ Ceban noted.
At the same time, the mayor said that the bridge on the Ismail Street was also in the focus of the city hall and also needs to be repaired. ‘’Presently, the public transport and communication means general department has signed a contract on expertise and designing of the bridge with the Intexnauca company. The cost of these works is estimated at 2.9 million lei. The bridge on the Ismail Street is one of the most demanded engineering constructions from Chisinau, built in 1968 and which has never been under capital repair. The expertise and designing works will start this week,’’ Ceban also said.
According to the city hall, the bridges on the Mihai Viteazul and Ismail Streets have been exploited for about 50 days.
