Chisinau, Oct. 4 /MOLDPRES/- More than 30 localities on both banks of the Dniester, located in the Security Zone, benefit this year from projects financed from the state budget for activities to reintegrate the country.
According to the government's communication and protocol department, one of the selected localities is the city of Rezina. Thus, in the last two years, the funds allocated by the Reintegration Office were used to repair and equip some medical institutions in the locality. In 2021, the District Hospital benefited from support worth 1 million lei (about 50 thousand euros), money used for thermal insulation of the walls. This year, another half a million lei was granted to the Rezina Health Center for the purchase of a high-performance colonoscope.
A third of the doctors and patients of the two medical institutions are from the left of the Dniester. Every third doctor who works in the Rezina Hospital is from across the Dniester, as is the case with patients who call in the consultation department. The people who go to the doctor come not only from Râbnița, a neighboring town, but also from Camenca, a town located at a greater distance.
Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration Oleg Serebrian said that the projects aim to bring the two banks of the Dniester closer together. "Health, education, culture, sports are the priority areas for financing projects related to the reintegration of the country. Sports teams from both banks of the Dniester, cultural institutions and youth or women's organizations are also encouraged to cooperate. There are projects that contribute to bringing people closer, because before a political solution, this civic solution is extremely important", said Oleg Serebrian.
This year, 15 million lei were granted for the financing of projects, money allocated for solving urgent problems.
