Chisinau, Oct. 21 /MOLDPRES/- A delegation from the north of the Republic of Moldova made up of mayors and heads of districts that are part of the Regional Council for Northern Development together with specialists from the Regional Development Agency (ADR) North and representatives of non-governmental organizations paid a study visit to Brașov county, Romania, on October 17-20 to study new development experiences on crisis situations.
In the conditions of the current international political climate, marked by the war in Ukraine, one of the topics of interest for the delegation from our country was the transfer of best practices on the crisis situations management. "We want to remain reliable partners for colleagues from Moldova and thus contribute to supporting the development of the republic's cities and districts. The current geopolitical situation makes us think, but we must remain optimistic and believe in the good progress of things, because only through collaboration, trust and mutual support can we overcome the difficulties we face", Brasov County Council head Adrian-Ioan Veștea said.
For her part, ADR North representative Gabriela Ceban pointed out the intention to take over from the Brasov authorities the best practices in regional development to be applied in the Northern Development Region of Moldova.
The visit to Brașov was held under a project to support the Northern Development Region in response to emergency situations, carried out by ADR Nord. The project is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through the Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova project.
