Infrastructure objects compatible with purpose of green areas to be able to be placed in green areas of Moldova

Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/ - Economic agents might get right to place objects for economic and social activities on state-owned green areas, without changing the purpose of these areas.     

The parliament’s commission for economy, budget and finances today gave a positive note to a draft on amendment and completion of the law on green areas of the urban and rural settlements.  

Under the document, the objects must be compatible with the purpose of the green areas.  In this respect, economic agents will have to ask for the authorization of the local public administration, according to which the placement location and the area of the objects, the conditions of the activity’s carrying out are established in coordination with the Environment Agency.    

The draft’s provisions regard the sports and leisure fields, installations for practicing sport, including the auxiliary objects for serving and maintaining sports fields, stands, access ways, irrigation systems, sanitary units, objects of social and cultural purpose, etc.    

One of the draft law’s authors, MP Lilian Carp stressed that the lack of legislative provisions in this respect created problems for the local public administrations, dealing with the arrangement of playgrounds, leisure spaces and other objects for recreation, which improve the structure of green areas.

The document will be submitted to parliament for consideration.
