Moldovan head of state visits Edinet town on occasion of dedication day

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 14 January evening went to Edinet, at an invitation by the settlement’s mayor, on the occasion of the town’s dedication day.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state congratulated the Edinet town’s residents on the settlement’s holiday: ‘’I am happy to see this dynamic, clean town and under full development, which is able to attract investments, to support local businesses, to attract European funds and to edify partnerships for the benefit of the community,’’ President Maia Sandu said in her message.
The Moldovan president appreciated the fact that Edinet was a settlement where Moldovans, and Ukrainians, Russians, Jews, Romanies lived in peace and understanding. This region gave the country such personalities as Ion Buzdugan, member of the Country Council, a very good poet, Vasile Romanciuc, diplomat Valeriu Turea. She also said that the nicest carpets were in Edinet and people from all over Moldova come to admire them.
The head of state urged the Edinet town residents to preserve what they have the best and turn to good account the potential of development, for the benefit of the community and the region. All citizens of Moldova deserve to live better here, at home!
