Moldovan deputy premier meets head of Delegation of International Committee of Red Cross

Chisinau, March 16. /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting today with head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Republic of Moldova Doris El Doueihy, the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.

The discussions focused on the activities carried out by the ICRC in Moldova, the categories of humanitarian assistance, including for refugees from Ukraine temporarily accommodated in the country, the training offered to the relevant national institutions.

In terms of the activities and assistance projects implemented in the Transnistrian region, the need to coordinate them with the Reintegration Policy Office was mentioned in order to avoid sensitive aspects and erroneous interpretations on behalf of Tiraspol.

Thanks were expressed for the humanitarian and technical support offered to the Republic of Moldova by the ICRC and the openness to strengthen partnerships in areas of mutual interest was revealed.
