Moldovan-British business forum could be held in Chisinau

Chisinau, April 21 /MOLDPRES/- MPs Radu Marian, Dan Perciun and Andrian Cheptonar, on a working visit to Great Britain, had a discussion with Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office Rupert Ainley. Idea of organizing a forum of businessmen from the two countries and connecting business associations from Great Britain with exporters from the Republic of Moldova was launched at the event.
The Moldovan parliamentary delegation participated in a meeting in London with members of the International Relations and Defense Committee. The deputies answered the questions of the British parliamentarians, and reiterated that a democratic and prosperous Moldova is extremely important for the security of the entire European continent. The Moldovan MPs met both with members of the ruling party and with deputies from the opposition parties.
The Moldovan delegation also had a meeting with Gemma Stevenson, Deputy Director of the Department for International Trade of Great Britain. The officials discussed the next steps the authorities will take to develop trade between the two states. "We propose to organize a forum of businessmen between the two countries and to connect business associations from Great Britain with exporters from the Republic of Moldova," said Radu Marian.
During the working visit to Great Britain, held on April 17-20, MPs Radu Marian, Dan Perciun and Andrian Cheptonar met with Moldovan citizens residing in London.
