Over 93,000 ballot papers printed for elections of Gagauz Autonomy's governor

Chisinau, 28 April /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 93,451 ballot papers will be printed for the holding of the elections of the governor (bashkan) of the Autonomous Territorial Unit Gagauz-Yeri, under a decision by the electoral commission from Comrat.
The commission members approved the shape and content of the ballot paper, due to be used for the elections of the bashkan. The ballot paper will be of a pale green colour, with a width of 140 milimetres and length of 290 mm and the candidates will be included in the order in which they were registered by the autonomy’s electoral commission. A number of 3,769 ballot papers will be printed in the Gagauz language and 3,398 – in the Romanian language. Traditionally, most ballot papers will be printed in Russian (86,284).
Over 90,000 voters from the autonomy are expected to polling stations at the ballot due on 30 April.
On the day of the elections, the citizens from the Gagauz autonomy who are in hospitals, asylums, sanatoriums, who serve in army, etc. will be able to vote too. Mobile ballot boxes will be operational for them.
Nicolai Dudoglo, Grigori Uzun, Mihail Formuzal, Victor Petrov, Dmitri Croitor, Serghei Cernev, Evghenia Guţul and Serghei Cimpoieş run for the position of bashkan. The governor (bashkan) is the supreme official person of the Gagauz-Yeri Autonomous Territorial Unit. All public administration authorities of the autonomy are subordinated to the bashkan. The elections of the governor are held once in four years.
