More Moldovan ministers withdrawn from MP candidate list

Chisinau, 7 November /MOLDPRES/ - The lists of candidates for the MP office in the parliament submitted by the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and the Democratic Party (PDM) have been modified. The decision was taken by the Central Election Commission (CEC) today.
Thus, at the request of PDM, Information Technology and Communications Minister Pavel Filip, who ranked fifth on the party's list and Transport and Road Infrastructure Minister Vasile Botnari who was tenth - were excluded from the list.
At the same time, PLDM requested the exclusion from the list of Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman, ranking fourth. The Liberal Democrats also withdrew Varzaresti village Mayor Ion Crudu, initially ranking 90th.
"I thank the colleagues who were previously relieved from the office for returning to the government for a given period of time. This is due to the fact that the government has responsibilities towards the citizens that it must honour", said Prime Minister Iurie Leanca in the beginning of the Cabinet's meeting.
PDM also issued a press release stating that the two Democrat ministers were temporarily withdrawn from the electoral campaign "to ensure the functioning of the government, the quorum at Cabinet meetings and to adopt decisions on the government's agenda."
