Moldovan veterans urge citizens to vote for continuing Moldova's European path at polls

Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/ - A group of Moldovan veterans urge the citizens to participate in the parliamentary polls due on 30 November and vote for Moldova continuing the European integration.

At a today news conference, the veterans said the 30 November parliamentary elections were crucial for Moldova's future. "In conditions when our neighbours, Ukraine and Romania, firmly voted for their future in the great European family, it is also important for us not to lose the historic chance we were given. The European integration changes our life for the better, including the attitude towards the veterans," retired colonel, Knight of the Stefan cel Mare Order Alexandru Gorgan said.

“We urge the veterans, their family members, friends and relatives to vote for the Liberal Democrat Party – the main force of the ruling coalition, which will ensure pressing ahead with Moldova's European integration,” a declaration of the veterans of the law-enforcement bodies, 1992 war of Transnistria and Afghanistan war says.

At the same time, the veterans asked the state's competent bodies “to undertake all legal measures, in order to stop possible provocations and measures aimed at destabilising the  situation in the society.”
