New Moldovan cabinet holds first meeting

Chisinau, 19 February /MOLDPRES/ - The new cabinet, led by Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici, convened at its first meeting today.
In the beginning of the meeting, Chiril Gaburici said the new government’s responsibility was very high, taking into account the domestic situation and regional context. Gaburici asked ministers to provide information about the quota of exports and situation on the oil products market. At the same time, he voiced intention to discuss with representatives of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, in order to analyse the present projects and possibilities of cooperating in the long run.
As for the situation on the foreign exchange market, Chiril Gaburici said he held a meeting at the parliament today, during which the actions that were to be taken to improve situation were set. A meeting with representatives of all Moldovan banks is to take place next week too.
Gaburici added that he would like to pay a visit to several hospitals next week, to check whether they lack medication and analyse the situation on prices for the latter.
At the same time, Gaburici requested that the draft budget for 2015 and budgetary and fiscal policy be submitted to the government as soon as possible and, subsequently, to the parliament as well.
The Gaburici government got the parliament’s confidence vote on 18 February.
