Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Joint Control Commission (JCC) held an ordinary meeting on 12 March. The participants continued the talks on the agenda approved back on 29 January 2015, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
During the entire meeting, the Transnistrian delegation defied the positions assumed by the other JCC participants as to the free movement in the security zone and unilaterally denied the previously taken commitments. Thus, the Transnistrian representatives, ignoring the present JCC standards and practices, said that they were not willing to discuss the issue of free movement in the Security Zone or to take certain decisions. They invoked that the matter was not within the Commission’s competence, but was dealing with the five-plus-two negotiations.
Besides, the Transnistrian side politicised the topic of discussions, thus violating the Regulation on the Commission’s work and ignored the consolidated position of the other JCC representatives.
Such an approach triggered contradictory discussions it was impossible to adopt a common decision. In this context, the Russian co-chair postponed the meeting for next week.
