Tourism Register to be launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet approved the concept of automated information system, namely Tourism Register. It was worked out in the context of technological modernisation of tourism industry, according to the action plan on implementation of Turims 2020 Tourism Development Strategy, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.

Its main goal is to ensure the recording and providing access to beneficiaries to updated data on tourism and heritage tourism of Moldova.

The launch of tourism register will bring more benefits. Each user will have the possibility to access data about objectives of heritage tourism and to schedule his/her vacation or trip. Economic agents will be able to use, when creating travel offers, information about heritage tourism objectives, updated contact details and access roads to these.

The mentioned automated system will serve as an efficient instrument to attract investments, create tourism infrastructure and arrange tourist destinations. At the same time, public administration authorities will be able to advertise information about cultural and sports events in Moldova, organised under their aegis. 

The Tourism Agency will ensure the development of the mentioned system from budgetary sources planned in this respect and from contribution of international partners.
