Moldovan cabinet approves budget of 112 single national emergency service for 2017

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved the budget of the 112 single national emergency service for this year, with revenues and expenses worth 50 million lei.
Under the document, about 7.6 million lei will be earmarked for staff spending, 37.5 million lei is meant for capital expenditures and about 4.7 million lei – for current expenses.
At the same time, following the approval, the budget can be changed in terms of expenditures.
The creation of the 112 emergency service will need investments worth 5.9 million euros from the state budget – money allocated for equipment, soft, offices and arrangement. The use of the single European emergency phone number will allow properly and efficiently organizing the emergency services all over Moldova, according to the European Union’s requirements. Presently, this service is used in all EU member states.
According to the action plan on the implementation of the 112 single national service for emergency calls, the concerned system will be tested till late 2017 and is to be put into operation in the third quarter of 2018.
