Meteorologists forecasts rain for upcoming week in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 May /MOLDPRES/ – The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) announced for upcoming week, on average country temperatures up 25ºC and electric discharges, especially within northern and central regions of Moldova.

According to the SHS’s information and media communication service, it will be relatively cool by the end of this week. On Saturday and Sunday, throughout Moldova there are expected maximum 18 – 20ºC during the daytime and 06 – 11ºC at night.

According to the SHS’s data, rains begin on Sunday followed by a rainy but warm week. Consequently, thermal peaks will indicate 23 – 25ºC, during the daytime, and 09 – 14ºC at night.

Similarly, extreme fire hazard (Class V) with natural character, fire threat of forest strips and agricultural crops will maintain in central and southern areas of Moldova by 14 May.

The rescuers urge public to avoid usage of open fire near homes, household annexes and feedstocks on land covered by dry vegetation, especially when located near forests, plantations or high risk fire targets. Also, it is recommended to restrict works which create favourable conditions for production of fires by volatile substances or excessive overheating.
