Pre-electoral mission of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe starts visit to Moldova

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - A pre-electoral mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) started its visit to Moldova today. The delegation members will be in Moldova till 31 January.
According to the parliament’s press service, the PACE delegation during four days will have meetings with Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, President Igor Dodon and Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
The delegation members will also meet the head of the Audiovisual Council, Dragos Vicol, head of the National Integrity Authority (ANI), Rodica Antoci, the head of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), Alina Russu, and the CEC members.
The PACE delegation will also have meetings with Head of the Council of Europe’s Office in Moldova William Massolin, Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Claus Neukirch, Head of the EU Delegation in Moldova Peter Michalko, the team of the OSCE/ODIHR (Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights) election observation mission, the ambassadors of the EU states and media representatives.
The PACE delegation will spread a declaration at the end of the visit.
The delegation of the PACE pre-electoral million includes parliamentarians Claude Kern (France) – head of the delegation, Elisabeth Schneider – Schneiter (Switzerland), Stefan Schennach (Austria), Christian Langballe (Denmark), co-rapporteurs of the PACE monitoring commission for Moldova, Egidijus Vareikis (Lithuania) and Maryvonne Blondin (France).
