More than 32,000 crossings of people registered at Moldova's state border on Easter

Chisinau, 29 April /MOLDPRES/ - More than 32,000 crossings of people and about 6,500 ones of transport means were recorded at the state border on Easter, 28 April.

According to the Border Police General Inspectorate (IGPF), about 18,000 of crossings were made by foreign citizens.

At the same time, the most transited border crossing points were the Chisinau International Airport and Leuseni in the last 24 hours.

Last week, the flow of persons stood at 369, 897 crossings, of which a larger number of crossings - 212, 139 – were made in the direction of entering Moldova. The most “active” border was the one with Romania, with 49 per cent of all crossings registered at the checkpoints placed at the Moldovan-Romanian border.

During the last week, 101 foreign citizens, as well as 145 transport means were denied entry into Moldova.

IGPF said that, at present, all border checkpoints worked as normal, with no high traffic intensity recorded.
