National Wine Day to be organized in Chisinau on 5-6 October

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/- The 18th edition of the National Wine Day will be organized in Chisinau on 5-6 October.

The current edition of the holiday will be more extensive as a space and as a period of development. Thus, for the first time, on 5-6 October, the Wine City will extend beyond the Great National Assembly Square, comprising the Birth of the Lord Cathedral, which will host the Wine School and the Peasant Court.

Wine tasting can be done according to the region of origin, the stands of over 65 winemakers are located under the map of the regions with Protected Geographical Indication.

Visitors to the National Wine Day will be able, as in previous years, to opt for the purchase of a Tasting Card. It will include information on the wineries present at ZNV and the wines offered for tasting, 12 tickets for the tasting, the program of the two holidays, discounts for the wine tours in the country and for the promotional materials and tickets for travel by public transport.

This year, the holiday will be even more environmentally friendly by optimizing electricity consumption, using renewable energy, reducing the amount of waste, separate collection of recycled waste, use of biodegradable materials and environmentally friendly furniture.

This year, the National Wine Day becomes an international event. For the second year in a row, Snagov in Romania will host, on September 14-15, the Moldovan Wine Day. Moldovan Wine Day will be marked in Iasi, on September 21-22, in Baia Mare on September 28 -29. The start of the holiday was in Belarus, where the Wine of Moldova was celebrated over the past weekend.
